A sweet customer requested and Princess and Pirate collection designed in hot pink and black. This theme has become a favorite theme in my store~ I definitely get the most requests for it….
I’ve had multiple requests for little “poems” on it. Each one cuter than the next. Here are my favorite versions:
- Once Upon a Time, and a Yo Ho Ho
- Ahoy there…It’s a pirate and princess party
- Ahoy there…It’s a royal swashbuckling ball
- Calling One, Calling All. Its a royal swashbuckling ball
- Yo, Ho, Ho. It’s off to a pirate princess party we go
I created a few different versions of the invite…
The key to success in a joint party is making sure to balance your elements for every pink item I tried to pair it with a black one. The dessert table was designed as very feminine but I had some “pirate” items included. I balanced it with the very pirate snack/drink table which made the boy guests feel included
I was fortunate to be able to use this amazing steamer trunk- it worked perfectly to set up the snacks. It also served as a focal point for guests as they entered.
I wanted the dessert table to be simple as the guests were young, so I kept to candy they would enjoy and cupcakes. The cupcake stand and table were dressed up with “diamonds” found in the jewelry section at Michaels. I covered the table cloth with a fishing net and pearl necklaces for the pirate feel.
Apothecary jars were accented with larger 3 1/2″ circles
Take out boxes make the perfect favor box for collecting candy.
I used classic root beer bottles for drinks
Snacks were kept simple; goldfish, pirate booty and chocolate pretzels
Favors for the boys included pirate swords, pirate hats and eye patches
Girls received princess wands and flowered hair clips
The entire collection is available in the shoppe as a DIY collection, or a fully assembled party. This complete collection includes; invitations, thank you notes, favor tags, welcome sign, cupcake toppers, buffet tags, and banner
